Q1. How do I get started?
A1. Follow the steps outlined on the Franchise Process and see if you have what it takes to grab a piece of the pie!

Q2. How much does a restaurant trade-area development franchise cost?
A2. The franchise fee for a restaurant trade-area costs $15,000 for exclusive rights to three predetermined restaurant territories.  A franchisee may purchase additional territories at a cost of $5,000 per territory.  The estimated total capital requirement for this franchise opportunity ranges from $23,500 - $37,250. This estimate includes the franchise fee listed above in addition to other startup and material costs.

Q3. What are my responsibilities as a restaurant trade-area developer?
A3. As a restaurant trade-area developer, you will have exclusive rights to three predetermined geographic territories.  It will be your responsibility to identify potential franchisees that will open and manage either a Friends & Family Pizza Non-Buffet restaurant or a Friends & Family Pizza Buffet in your territories.  Once franchisees have been identified, you will be responsible to oversee their efforts on a regular basis and serve as a liaison between the franchisee and Friends & Family Enterprises (FFE).

Q4. What will the restaurant franchisees in my territory be responsible for?
A4. Friends & Family Pizza restaurant franchisees will ultimately be responsible for the management and care of their particular facility.  This includes daily responsibilities such as product ordering, production, employment, and all other tasks involved with the operation and maintenance of their Friends & Family Pizza restaurant.  See Non-Buffet Restaurant FAQs and Buffet Restaurant FAQs for more information.

Q5. When and where can franchise opportunities be explored?
A5. We are now ready and able to place franchise locations in eastern Pennsylvania. It is our desire and intention to expand the franchise offering into other states in the northeast.

Q6. Will I receive training and operating manuals from Friends and Family Enterprises once I am awarded a franchise?
A6. Yes, it is anticipated that each franchisee will receive at least 4 weeks of training by qualified personnel that includes both hands-on experience as well as management training at our corporate office in Langhorne, PA. In addition to other items, this training program will include a section about territory management and will also include a tour of our Friends & Family Pizza production facility. Once a franchisee has been awarded a franchise, manuals covering many aspects of operating a Friends and Family Pizza Buffet will be provided.

Q7. Where will my revenue stream come from?
A7. Trade-area developers will receive a portion of the franchise fee paid by each franchisee to FFE.  In addition, you will receive a portion of the ongoing royalties due to FFE by the franchisees in your territories.

Q8. How long should it take to open a Friends and Family Pizza restaurant franchise?
A8. While it is difficult to provide a specific time frame because of the number of variables that exist in any given situation, we believe that a restaurant can be completed within 120-150 days from the time a site is leased.

Q9. How is restaurant placement determined?
A9. Friends & Family Pizza restaurants are placed based on a number of demographic and geographic factors.  Among these are population density, traffic volume, demographic layout, location of competition, and many others.  A restaurant “territory” will be determined by FFE, with the assistance of local real estate professionals, based upon these factors.  Being that there are a number of issues that factor into placement, the actual geographic territory (in terms of a mileage radius) for a Friends & Family Pizza restaurant may vary from location to location.
