Q1. How do I get started?
A1. Follow the steps outlined on the Franchise Process and see if you have what it takes to grab a piece of the pie!

Q2. How much does a Friends & Family Pizza (non-buffet) franchise cost?
A2. Our franchise fee is $20,000 per location. Fees would be reduced for a multi-unit franchise purchase.

Q3. Is there a continuing fee?
A3. Yes, there will be an ongoing royalty fee of 6% of weekly gross sales, excluding tax. This includes a 1% advertising fee whose use is solely determined by Friends & Family Enterprises, LLC (FFE) but will always be used for advertising and marketing purposes to build the Friends and Family Pizza Buffet brand.

Q4. How much will it cost to open a Friends and Family Pizza retail restaurant?
A4. In addition to the franchise fee noted above, we anticipate that the average investment for opening a Friends and Family Pizza restaurant will be $189,500 -$523,500.  The exact cost will be based upon the specific retail location that you plan to open.  Different opportunities will require varying financial resources in order to open.  FFE will carefully review all franchisee applicants, review their assets and credit history and will provide guidance where possible. We work with lenders who provide loans for qualified candidates

Q5. What kind of opportunities are available as a Friends & Family Pizza restaurant franchisee?
A5. In contrast to our pizza buffet franchise opportunity, the retail, non-buffet opportunities available with Friends & Family Pizza are much more flexible.  Retail opportunities include, but are not limited to, the following: take-out only restaurants, mall kiosks, pizzeria restaurants, portable food trailers, and others.  If you know of a specific opportunity for a Friends & Family Pizza retail location, FFE will work with you to determine how best to incorporate the Friends & Family design into your location.

Q6. When and where can franchise opportunities be explored?
A6. We are now ready and able to place franchise locations in eastern Pennsylvania. It is our desire and intention to expand the franchise offering into other states in the northeast.

Q7. What kind of profits can I expect from operating a Friends and Family Pizza restaurant franchise?
A7. FFE, similar to other franchisors and independent businesses, cannot guarantee profitability. The financial results for each franchise are highly dependent on the restaurant location, volume, franchisee management skills, customer relationship skills, franchisee personal financial needs, product pricing, commitment, etc. Accordingly, FFE cannot predict profitability or sales volume for any new restaurant. The Federal Trade Commission laws on Franchise and Business Opportunity Ventures (1979) were enacted to protect prospective franchisees by requiring the delivery of mandated information to prospective franchisees to inform them of relevant facts prior to an award of a franchise. FFE is prohibited from disclosing earnings claims of any nature, except as may be provided by the UFOC.

Q8. How long do you anticipate that is should take to open a Friends and Family Pizza non-buffet restaurant franchise?
A8. Due to the uniqueness of each Friends & Family Pizza restaurant opportunity, it is difficult to determine a timeframe as to when your franchise location could open.  Generally speaking, though, we believe that a restaurant can be completed within 120-150 days from the time a site is leased.

Q9. Will I receive training and operating manuals from FFE once I am awarded a franchise?
A9. Yes, it is anticipated that each franchisee will receive at least 4 weeks of training by qualified personnel that includes both hands-on experience as well as management training at our corporate office in Langhorne, PA. Once a franchisee has been awarded a franchise, manuals covering many aspects of operating a Friends and Family Pizza restaurant will be provided.

Q10. What am I responsible for as a franchisee?
A10. In addition to being financial responsible for all costs involved in the construction of your Friends & Family Pizza location, you will also be responsible for the ongoing management and facilitation of your restaurant.  This includes responsibilities such as employment, product ordering, food production, and many others.  In addition, as a franchisee with Friends & Family Pizza, you must adhere to all Friends & Family Pizza standards as related to quality, customer service, and product integrity.  To assist you with this, FFE will provide you with the necessary quality control and production manuals as noted above.
